205munchkin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mad Mark

I read in todays MN that Mark is going to do the rest of the British Championship. Does this mean he wont be racing in the open championship this year, as I thought he also wanted to do some more ERC rounds?

Cant wait to see the Xsara being used to its full potential. The last few years havnt done either the car or Mark justice!

Nice to be the topic of conversation!!

As per my calender on my web www.madmark.co.uk i have listed my events that i shall try to attend I am still doing Knockhill in the Open Championship and as you will see it is possible to do all the BRC rounds as well. With two events attended in the BRC and two top 4 finishes we have to give it a go and see what the ageing xara can acheive against more modern machinery.

As you will have noticed it is fine to do both champs as they do not clash now and as stated before i love to race and attend meetings!

The only problem is that we will have to curtail our ERC outings which Poland and Czech were likely we will see how we go in the BRC first.

We have to also think about budgets for 2011 and a change of equipment!

Have you got any idea what you're going to replace the Xsara with yet?

I'll be sad to see the Xsara go. Not particularly a Citreon fan but always thought the Rally/Rallycross versions of the Xsara were a good looking car. Hopefully, it'll stay in circulation in the UK. I think mention was made in something I read about a C4 test session in France?

We did a number laps of Loheac on Monday after Kerlabo in Marc Labouille's C4 i couldn't believe how far advanced from the xsara it was and the Xsara isnt slow the transverse engine makes the car much more balanced

We will be there for British round but not for ERC as it clashes with the BRC and you cant do every event !

Seems appropriate for this thread: http://www.rallycross.com/ For Sale / Division 1 / Citroen Xsara T16 4x4

(Why won't that site let you link to it?)

As it's fairly quiet in the forum at present, anybody fancy a bit of idle speculation as to which marques or even cars? I'm going with C4, Focus, Fiesta and 207. When you think about it there is'nt much else around that's newer than the Xsara at the moment. Shame more people can't afford to build a car from new at present so we could have even more variety.

Well, C4 is the obvious one isn't it? Focus and Fiesta are a good shout for the "same marque" element of things and the 207 is also a good bet. Maybe also add in Fabia to the mix? Just trying to think what they'd look like in the pink and black colour scheme (obviously Mark's got to buy the one that looks best )

Makes sense, but I always read the transverse is limited in terms of horsepower and torque it can (could?) cope? A lot of cars has been converted to longitudinal, like that Hyundai of Radstrom... But maybe things have changed, we have seen transverse engines in France before, altough that was with 40 mm restrictor.

Didn't I read something else that Andy Scott had been spotted measuring one of the 207's for his transporter? If both change their cars I hope both the Xsara and 306 fall into somebody else's hands in the UK as it would be a shame if they disapeared.

Don't rule out the little Skoda, it has enough grunt to fight amongst the big boys.
Would be nice to see a Skoda airborne around the British Rallycross Scene.

KEEP GUESSING ALL !!!!!

Lots of options I been faithful to citrown for a long time now but as everyone will know I do like to be different.

I am Holjes this weekend talking tpo a number of drivers and teams about cars !

Have tested M Technologies C4 very good
TB having a Focus at Scotch Corner is a plus because we have parts and expertise already however not keen on shape

ALways loved the Fabia very stylish car and different. and 4 different ons offered to me!

Not a fiesta not new shape they dont handle right

Volvo c30 ? Same running gear as focus ?

Wont e a 207 again just not quite right if JLP cant get them to the front then no one will.

DS3 ? or not proven yet needs development ?

Russian car ?

Many things to consider price, ease of parts, what looks good for the track, Sponsorship, the list goes on

Let me know what you all think i always respect other peoples views helps me and the sport to move forward
