There was a race planned at Laguna Seca but it got cancelled, the only US race was in 2004 at California Speedway. They planned to come back to the US but for whatever reasons didnt.

I dont think a Super GT race would be well supported in Australia, there are numbers of Japanese cars in Australia and most of them know about Super GT but I dont think the numbers would be there to make it viable.

The US is another matter, there is a much bigger market although it still lead to Super GT not returning there so who knows?

If there was a race in Australia, I'd be there with bells on, the cars and the racing are really good and the variety (especially in the GT300 class) reminds me of the good old Procar (or Belcar for that matter) days.. They run to their own regs not anyone elses.
