Moffat, Goss, Seton, Ambrose, Dick, Bowe
Does anyone know where I can find the group photo of Allan Moffat, John Goss, Glenn Seton, Marcos Ambrose, Dick Johnson & John Bowe that were taken in the pits at Eastern Creek?
I searched the V8 Supercar site and no luck. Anyone know? Cheers. |

There seemed to be a whole heap of photographers taking pictures, perhaps it will turn up as a poster for sale somewhere. I wonder if there would be need to go through Avesco channels as it was taken at their meeting?

Hi guys here are some screen captures from my tv card. Regrettably I am using the Windows Media file i created rather than the original tape recording so the quality is not the greatest. Still they're better than nothing and will hopefully suffice till better images come along. Just a pity my TV card media player with the screenshot capability doesn't like WM files. On windows media player there is better resolution but no screen shot option.

What an absolute pleasure it was to see so many Ford hero's assembled in the one place...especially on a weekend where the Blue Oval beacon was shining at its brightest...Ambroses 'slaughter house' victories,Rusty's gutsy 2nd place overall,Dick Johnsons' acknowlegement of the Ambrose/SBR achievement & the Gold Medal presentation to each & every crew member of that champion team.
I think Ford can now finally use the slogan...."we're baaack" |

Was the photo taken due to circumstances, or were Moffat and Goss invited as they were past championship winners in Fords?
If the latter is the case, where was Norm Beechey? |

I suspect Beechey would not factor as he was not a "falcon" hero driver if they were invited. Also Beechey's link with that yellow monaro would mitigate against inclusion. I suspect they were invited to build on the media interest just like at Bathurst when the Goss replica hardtop was showcased for the 30 years ago win against the odds.

I dont think he did AP... Gossy rarely did all the rounds of the series in the years he had competitive equipment....

No ATCC Championship for Gossy, but the only man to win Bathurst and the Australian GP. There was also a nice picture of Gossy 74 Replica signed by the Man himself on ebay yesterday for sale. The story of Gossy wearing his race suit on a domestic flight, those were the days.

I have an old photo taken at Oran Park in about 1975 of a (very) young Average Punter with Mr Goss.
He'd been driving a F5000 and was covered in sweat. As for the car, I don't remember much about it except that it was blue and had 2UW stickers on it... What year did he win the AGP? |
