A real gem, especially as you can hear the Mercs and Lancia flat out.

Absolutely nothing to do with ‘Historic Racing Today’, of course, but what the heck....

Wonderful Bob, thanks this is the best. But dont push your chance because you could get this kind of warning/comment : Absolutely nothing to do with ‘Historic Racing Today’, of course, but what the heck!

At the end of the video you understand how Mercedes attracted the best drivers: they received a brand new 300 SL as company car and a nice company too. Gordini drivers? Hum, may be a second hand Dauphine?

The reason why I love The Mordschleife Gerard. Not much has changed since 1927.😁

I understand. Charade was a nice place too and I've been disappointed when they removed the gravel area outside Pouhon and Blanchimont. Strange word where people want more thrill and much more safety.

Still the accidents happen at Pouhon Gerard. Biggest problem is the Astro grass, I've seen drivers run onto it, back end come round and fired off into the left wall backwards.
Shame Tilke ever got invited to make it safer🙄

So right. I remember an E Type rolled at Pouhon during 6 Hours race, the gravel didn't make things easy for the rescue team. For those who dare we still have in town circuits, Pau or Monaco fors instance keep you awake!

Same corner my MGB was destroyed Gerard.
As with any corner, entry is vital for Pouhon. It can be done with one application of lock quite easily and no need to use the kerbs.

I remember moons ago French referring to Pouhon as double left and sometimes triple left. Because I wanted to feel more comfortable there, took my bike and went to watch. Found a nice place in altitude to watch and learned a lot from others mistakes. Its not perfect now for me but more comfortable.
Dont tell me about "Bruxelles", I never found the right lane!
