belt driven has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Stepped out for a bit? What for a 17 min yellow?

So at this rate, they're going to absolutely obliterate the lap record? On track for roughly 830-ish laps

Nothing really. The Caddilacs have just been driving off. 77 is currently on the lead lap. Pit stops are more off sequence for everyone now, so it fluctuates.

Slowly but surely, Tandy is closing the gap to the 2 GTLM leaders. 9 seconds now instead of 16 an hour ago

Acura changed the nose on one car earlier when it was doing that. It suggests they are not happy with it.

Vanthoor v Krohn for the lead of GTLM.

#10 just set its fastest lap of the race so far.

I think everyones been putting off the brake changes for the yellows that aren't coming. Hindy is surprised GTLM cars are needing brakes, but when you're used to races with yellows it makes sense to run it harder and then change the brakes. The lack of yellows is catching them out.

I think at least one of the Porsches had pad changes under yellow.

Ahah, found it:

http://www.dailysportscar.com/2020/0...-the-lead.html

Even though both 911 RSR-19s took new brake pads under Full Course Yellow, dropping them to the back of the GTLM order, there was still a sense that they had the pace under control in what was now effectively a five-car race. As the race reached its mid-point, the Porsches were back behind the BMW in second and third, their order the same.
