Yes.
I asked a similar question with regards Italian F3000 using 1999 Lolas this year - and was told it was fine. |

Walker has announced two Lolas, no drivers, no sponsors. HVM just announced two cars, Dominguez as one driver, no sponsors. IMO, these are season-plan announcements that are designed to call attention and give exposure to the teams in their searches for sponsorship. Maybe it'll help.

Speaking of sponsors, I wonder if any Champ Car - or IndyCar ones for that matter - have thought about about trying to put together sponsor deals that involve multiple sponsors over the year, the type of deals that have been around in NASCAR for some time now (the most recent being Robby Gordon having four different primary sponsors for the 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup season). |

Regarding the Chasis differences, I'm looking at a Bridgestone calender I have with Bourdais, PT and AJ. On the front wing of PT and Bourdais' cars they have two levels of elements. AJ's car has one. It's possible those secondary elements are unique peices, but to me they look too substantial.
rustyfan, that's definately an interesting concept. Think of it this way, it would probably be easier to get Canadian sponsors for the Canadian races, Mexican sponsors for the Mexican races, etc. That model might be ideally suited to CC. I'm not sure if these preliminary season intentions announcements are intended to help draw attention to the series or the teams or both. I don't really mind in any case, because we've been starving for information. |
