So it is determined by the drivers championship and not the team championship? If they're goign to make a fuss about team championship then you'd think that would be used to determine the order.

Well this is the first year of the team's championship, so maybe they will use it now?

My question is; who is going to be occupying the 41 garages in between Britek and PCR?
Sorry Timu, someone had to say it. Good job on the list though. Now we know why DJR have been underperforming all year, they wanted garages #17 and #18. |

No worries peck, I have to admit the last place I would have looked for the calendar (and I didn't) would be in Tech Talk. |

I dont think this will be the final order... the fudging of the #7 RNR franchise should see that car a long way further forward in the lane than the end.. presumably this means they would drag the #75 licence (likely PCR) with them... unless they are both happy to live in a tent while everyone else has a solid garage

If they do use this method, it was show what a crappy season PWR and LMS really have had in the end...

just a thought i had while thinking about this.
Could the pit lane be linked to the franchise position like the top 32 was for the latter rounds. We know richo switched to No 24 to gain points for that franchise position, so as a result no. 11 in theory suffered meaning the 11 position would not be as high in the championship |

I think it is very likely to be done on that basis Peckstar, but the TEGA group do not show franchise positions, only team results. Given the shifts in the 4 car TPR camp, movements at GRM & LMS at different rounds, even NASA's computing power would have fun with the permutations and combinations....

From careful estimates... the likely garage order rmay very well be:
Pit bay: #1 - #2 SBR #3 - #4 HRT #5 - #6 888 #7 - #8 HSVDT #9 - #10 DJR #11 - #12 PWR #13 - #14 Perkins #15 - #16 FPR #17 - #18 BJR #19 - #20 GRM #21 - #22 Tasman #23 - #24 WPS #25 - #26 LMS #27 - #28 TKR/PMM #67 #29 - #30 Britek #31 - #32 RNR/PMM #39 #33 - #34 PCR ..... some squads have had a mighty fall... in the middle of the lane now after being pretty close to the "fast" end in 2005.... |

Would teams be allowed to swap pit bays by mutual agreement? (I'm wondering if there would be any advantgage in the TKR/PMM mob swapping with Britek, to get all of the PMM-run cars together)

GTR. thats is a change on previous years systems, i assume you are basing it on the Teams championship position rather than a drivers championship position. which would see 888 in garge two

Didnt it use to be based on the top performer from the one team, ie car 1 at the end, with its teammate, irrespective of where they finished?

Thats right GTR....for those out there who need a refresher on permutations and combinations..
nCr = n! / (r!(n - r)!) nPr = n! / (n - r)! |

It is based on tnhe team'c championship this year, not on driver performance
If anything it disadvantages the 1 car team bigtime.... even if that franchise won the series, it would probably be in the middle of the pack come the following year... |

It is in line with TEGA's desire for 16x 2 car teams....
Single cars are not going to be welcome for too long.... |
