Coloni to run A1GP Team Italy
They're just waiting on approval from A1GP to make the announcement

Excellent news, good to have Coloni and Italy on board.

Some reports say that Gianmaria Bruni will be their driver. Personally I think that Italy have better drivers than Bruni but Bruni is a Coloni employee...

Coloni and Bruni again? They split in GP2 so I don't think they will work together again, but I can be wrong.

Which other Italian drivers would be available for the job if Bruni didn't get it? Thanks to over-working (a day shift followed immediately by a night shift elsewhere then followed by a morning shift, anyone?) my mind's gone a bit blank. Can think of maybe Giorgio Pantano, and I think Paolo Ruberti's been doing some pretty gud things...? will need some people with brain power to think of a real list of Italian drivers who'd be ok for the job...

Alex Ciompi and Luca Filippi could have a good chance.

Would Christian Montanari qualify? Isn't he San Marinese?
Same deal as Firman driving for Ireland I suppose. Never mind me, just being picky... |

I think Filippi is a shoe in for one of the driver positions, and it would surprise me greatly if Liuzzi makes a few appearances.

For me Liuzzi and Toccacelo would be the obvious choices, Liuzzi is still a F3000 champion and that is a pretty big title to have under your belt, true the series wasnt quite as competitve towards the end but even so, IMO winning the F3000 title isnt something to be sniffed at.

I should imagine John Parnis will be involved. He is David Sears' cousin and works for Coloni now on GP2 in team management.
