result! one of my pictures was chosen, time to change my forum signature!
This pic (the one captioned "it started with a biff") is my one http://btcc-racing.com/25090537.asp im really glad to have been chosen, i sent a few pictures in, i kind of thought they might have chosen this one, i think it captures a moment quite well, where driving hard becomes having an accident http://btcc-racing.com/previews/061105-036.jpg theres some really great shots there, i really like the time exposure ones as they're different from the usual, coincedentally i also sent in pictures of the flaming focus and the rolling austin healey ("over and out") Peter your winning photo is really good, was the shot luck or did you see the storm coming and take a series of pictures? |

Have to admit that I got lucky with that one. At the time the storm was more over towards Stowe, too far in the distance for anything good so I set about getting some light trails at becketts. Storm was moving in my direction though and a few stray bolts ended up in that photo.
Once the storm got closer I did get some intentional ones aswell such as this double strike over luffield which most people seem to prefer to my winning one heh. http://eerc.co.uk/cms/e107_plugins/c..._lightning.jpg Got soaked to the skin taking those, or more accurately walking back after taking those as that's when the rains came. But was worth it. Quote:

I bought the paper today to see everybody else's efforts and found one of mine had been printed. I'm well chuffed.
This is the one: http://www.edgephotographic.co.uk/vs...749-mod-ep.jpg I can see why they picked Peter's as the winning shot. Love the atmosphere. |
