I sent mine by email 2 years ago and that was OK(I didn't do it last year). However, this year I'm out of the country and had someone lined up to complete my acceptance and send it back, but they've told me the form has changed by the inclusion of a declaration that requires a signature. I've emailed MSA to see if they will accept a "pp" or if they can email me the form.

Confusingly, what I thought had sent an empty attachment has just been acknowledged by IMS. Bloody computers

Why not get your fiend to scan it and email it to you then you can fill it in and send it back

Also I have my conformation email so sending by email works

I returned mine via 'snail-mail', but as a 'signed-for' so I could track and confirm that it had arrived, which it did. I have also received email confirmation - so we know that method also works

I don't think my friend has the know how to scan and email! MSA have accepted my declaration by email and the rest of the form can go by snail mail.

They shouldn't be. We have an established policy on requests for guest passes (do a search) for this and any other events. Included in this is the requirement to state who you are and why you need them.

Well I too will be on the prowl for one when we get issued with them as the Missus (the real racing fan, who will of course have my guess pass) will need to blag a lift with someone on the Sunday by bribing them as I will be sleeping in a puddle from Thursday night and she doesn't drive, There are stories of public transport but I think these are spoken of only in myth....
However I will not expect the former owner to go unrewarded if you know what I mean.
When the time comes (which I am fully aware s not now) I will be doing all that is required to be compliant with the rules.

I too am on the search for at least one, and possibly two sets of wrist bands for my sons university mates. I will of course thank the kind donator with cylindrical metal objects containing fluid that eventually makes you forget you're camping in a swamp!

I've done the GP for so many years that I of course know, and abide by, the rules!

The short version is that, under the terms you sign up for, tickets are non-transferable. However, if you're marshalling and have a guest pass which no-one will be using and you wish to use it to assist a fellow marshal who has more people staying with him (family, for instance) than he has guest passes for then no-one's going to worry about that arrangement, nor whether the odd tin of falling down water heads in the opposite direction.

If you're not marshalling, then you shouldn't be touting for tickets in public. By all means make a private arrangement with a marshal who you know has a spare, but not on here. This goes for all meetings, not just the GP. We know that some organisers do see such discussions on here and we wouldn't want to jeopardise the traditional marshal's guest ticket because people are seen to be trading them or abusing the system in order to spectate for free.

Woolley, I hope you understand that I am a marshal, and have been since 1997! I am marshalling this years GP, just as I have done for every British GP since 1998. My son uses my guest ticket and has brought one or two close and trusted friends with him over the last few years. I hope you dont think that i've just put a ticket plea on here so that a bunch of people who have no relation to marshalling can get into the GP for free.

If any other marshal would like to PM me re spare tickets then please feel free. I can of course also be found at a race circuit most weekends through out the season!

Sorry, Mike, I wasn't referring to you, the post was intended for general information. I know you and that you're genuine (and I assumed you realised who I am as well). The smiley was the bit that referred to your post because the reward description made me giggle.

I don't know the poster who asked earlier, though, so just worth reminding everyone that tickets shouldn't generally be traded in public and only where both parties are marshals at the event in question.

Sorry. I'll probably recognise you at the track. Re my reward description, i thought it was pretty apt after last years re-enactment of the Somme!!
