JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Entry Forms for the Jim Walsh Trophy

Entry Forms for the BRDC Jim Walsh Trophy - Silverstone Historic Grand Prix Circuit Sunday April 24th 2005 - will be available to download from Wednesday morning (30th March) from the BRDC web site www.brdc.co.uk

They will also be emailed to Steve, who can forward to all BRSCC KoK runners, and we will also mail from the BRDC offices.

There will be just one race, and we can start a maximum number of 44 cars.
If you plan to race at Silverstone, return your forms to us as soon as possible to make sure you are on the list! Entries will be first come, first served.

For ref. this is the second running of the BRDC Jim Walsh Trophy, a race that is held on the Historic Grand Prix Circuit. It was held for the first time at the BRDC 75th Anniversary Meeting in May 2003, and was won by Peter Daly.

Jim Walsh was present that day to hand over the trophies, and FF1600 fans of the 1970s and early 1980s will be pleased to hear Jim has been asked to attend again this year!

Barry Pomfret should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
James, which circuit are the rest of the races on, ie those without an asterisk? The mono club are informing competitors that they will be using the Grand Prix circuit, is this correct?

The normal GP track I think, as opposed to the 'Historic' BP.

May I suggest this 'second' race moves to the end of the day to give the FF1600s' less chance of being "curfewed"

Chris, IIRC Abbey and Stowe or Club use the older layout, meaning two more starters under the track licence.

It looks like all of the Historic GP track races are being run after all of the GP track races to save time in switching between the configurations, though.

So FF1600 is being classed as Historic then?
I still think FF1600 should be before BRDC Single Seaters Race 2

So FF1600 is on the Historic layout, not the current GP layout then?

This is the link to the press release, but it doesn't contain a form. The best bet is to ask JEB directly I would think!

Entry Forms are in circulation to BRSCC registered competitors via Steve Burns.
I am just waiting for the BRDC site to be uploaded...I am as keen to see it on www.brdc.co.uk as all of you !!

If you want to email me directly - I can send you one electronically.

Diz - The timetable is being reworked as I write this. So many things to do today, as Mr and Mrs JEB are moving house on Friday...

The Silverstone tradition is to have FF1600 as the final race of the day - I understand the curfew situation. We already have a very, very packed programme. Trying to steal every available five minutes to make sure we can have a full day !
