Also two out of four, Peter. One which you both have right, so between you, you have three right, but which 3 and what is missing?

Bell, Escort, not Snett.
OK, It is Snetterton. Last edited by Tim Falce; 14 Apr 2010 at 18:04. Reason: It's Snett |

OK, you're there really. It is indeed Mike, with Escort, at Snetterton, but the pic was taken yesterday. Quite a few interesting cars were testing there.

They were both prewar Maseratis, but I can't be sure of their model nos. In fact, Sean Danaher was there with 4 Masers altogether. The one that didn't come out to play while I was there was the ex Camoradi Long tail Birdcage which I haven't seen out for years, so here's hoping. I'll put up pics of the 4 at some stage shortly.

The pic foreshortens Russell which confused me. I had thought Snett to start with though.
Car looks good Mike. |

Sunny Snetterton! Hopefully Sunday will still be dry.........
I was bedding in new pads, Peter, after having had discs skimmed on car. Had some vibration issues last year (issues- not problems!) and have changed pad material. Sadly skimming process appears to have gone wonky on one surface resulting in- guess what- vibration! Back there 0800 this morn to hopefully get it sorted! Nice pic, thank you John. Shows up mismatch in colour of new front spoiler well! At least shape looks OK- now closer to 1974 original Zak type. I thought I saw a couple of Masers chugging up and down paddock- didn't realise there were 4! Sadly the F3 car (ex Schlesser?) was well and truly broke when I arrived and I assume now subject to urgent engine job before Monaco. |

Mike we are in the same race on Sunday... one thing is guaranteed - that I will be last! However as the main objective is to get a signature for my son we will be staying out of yours and everyone else's way...

Just back from having one disc re-skimmed. Moral of the story is- if the place doing it also has MOT rollers ask them to check car on them after skimming. 2 minutes the other day would have saved a lot of extra hassle! |

I can solve this one. Firstly, the 1937 V8RI, chassis #4503. One of four cars built. Raced by Babe Stapp in the '37 Indy 500.

Second, the Tipo 61 Streamliner which, at Le Mans in 1960, went from 24th after a poor start to first at the Mulsanne Corner, to a four-minute lead after two hours, to the back after breaking down in the pits, to a two-lap lead four hours later... and then grenaded itself in the early hours of the morning.

Third, the 1937 6c Monoposto, chassis #1547, veteran of numerous championship Grands Prix. Best finish, I think, was 8th in the British Empire Trophy race on the Isle of Man in '48.
Pause here to give special thanks not only to Google but to the lovely, lovely lady (Mrs Danaher, perhaps?) who took the time to make my son's day very special indeed. |

Finally, the 1955 300s, chassis #3057, ex-Benoit Musy. Raced hard all over the world ever since. Managed about three laps here before conking out...
