The red mist has certainly descended, and nobody was remotely near his league. Shame about Moffat. If anything I think Ingram could complain the most as Moffat ended up right in front of the Toyota yet again!

Sutton though? Far too measured. With many others charging up it's understandable but he has it all to do...

Great drive by Turkington.
Look like Moffat braked too early, almost brake checked Turk.

is it me or the Dynamics duo didn't put up a real fight to Turks as did some other drivers ?

let't bet that TOCA will not give Turks any time penalty as it would ruin the show....

even so he needs to outscore Sutton by 7 points

Turks looks emotionally drained. Utterly incredible drive.

Reminds me of Shedden charging for the title a couple of years back. When it matters, they deliver. That drive was outstanding, I think Moffat braking so early with the ballast and that caught out Turks so he couldn't react, which is a shame. I'd understand a penalty, but I don't think Gow would ruin the show...

That was my immediate thought too. What a phenomenal race, real edge of the seat stuff.

Gives Epps a great chance, and puts Turks and Sutton lining up one behind the other on the grid...!

And now the rain begins to fall as a Brit F4 race starts.

outscoring him by 7 points while being full ballast just ahead of him while Sutton will have ZERO ballast doesn't sound like a good proposition, Sutton could just hang at the back of him the whole race

Honestly that move on Moffat was never on, i usually cheer for Turkington. But in all honesty he should get a penalty for that move, because he wouldn't have gotten past in that corner otherwise.

I dunno. Car struggling to hang onto the lead on boots with a full compliment of lead, vs a driver with a reputation for not punting people off, on inspired form, no ballast, soft boots....

People are surprised that the series that a series which picks balls out of a hat to decide the race grid is a bit more about the show than pure racing? BTCC is pretty honest about what it is.

Think about it logically.

If the Race Director had applied the same penalty as was handed to Sutton for his passing move on Turkington i.e. to give back the place, then Turkington would start from sixth on the grid rather than tenth.

Ok, he would have lost some points as well, but who knows what will happen in the 3rd race. As it is, Sutton starts right behind Turkington, on the same tyres but carrying no success ballast.

May the best driver/car combination win.

I decided to leave it a while after the race before reading the comments on here and I'm quite surprised. It looks like I'm the only one who thinks Mr Gow gave Turks some extra boost for this one to spice up the show. The BMW was far quicker than anything else out there...

I really wanted Turkington to win race 2 until he punted Moffat. Really, really disappointing driving after a brilliant drive through the field. His nose is normally so clean...

... And R3 is wet.

This could be fun.

Car's on the grid, so maybe just packing up whatever kit wasn't needed for race 3 ready for a quick getaway? Brands to Dalkeith is a fair old trek home...
