One of the best meetings at Oulton, this one. Those V8's are great. Looking forward to it myself.

Nothing like the sound of a proper British V8. Or the sight of a 1920-something museum piece getting slung through the chicane sideways, with the driver hanging out of the side of the car wrestling with a steering wheel that's twice the size of the car.

After being the first date in the diary this year, changes at work mean I will be in London that week, so forced to do the Touring Cars instead. First time I've had to back out of a meeting since I started, so apologies to the organisers

Anyone else still awaiting their tickets for this one?

I dont seem to be getting much post at all at the mo, not generally a bad thing as its usually bills.

Quite literally mate. Mine arrived on Monday but I've other things that I've been waiting weeks for.

But the Aston Martin V8s will take my mind off it.

Just a quick thanks to AMOC and the team at Lakeside today

Some good racing despite some small grids and only a couple of spins and an oil slick to deal with

Good team, good banter and apart from the cold wind the weather could have been a lot worse, my last race meet of the year

Roll on training days and next season! See some of you at the hotpot supper, be warned MAtthew is also coming

Had a cold, wet & windy day flagging at Foulston's Advance. Shame the rain came down for the Ferrari Race.Still a cracking race though. Had to laugh at the reply from Med 1 that the Lady Doctor could not wait to check out the driver who had backed his car into the tyre wall at Shell, As the driver was Chris Rea.

I was at the meeting yesterday(As car prep/spectator).

You guys go a great job, most don't realise how many marshalls are needed at a race meeting, I counted 40 from where I was standing. It was so flippin cold, and wet and one point.

Now which one of you collected the exhaust of the yellow Aston V8.

Yesterday was good fun except for the freezing wind blowing and the rain during thew Ferrari race. The last race was by far some of the best racing I've seen in a long time.I was on hill top which is pretty exposed so got the full force of the wind all day. I'm off up to Mull on thursday for the rally. Anyone else going?

It wasnt one of his better races! I saw him spin at cascades just before he went off at shell. That lap was certainly "the road to hell"!

I also saw the spin at Cascades as I was down the hill from you at Lakeside,

The car looked virtually undamged when it was out with a different driver during the last race
