Everyone in the WTCR knows Lynk & Co doesn't play a fair game. The trouble with excuses, however, is that they become inevitably difficult to believe after they’ve been used a couple of times.

Clearly the organisers want them there badly enough but without customer cars it's not TCR.

will anybody bother to bring a new car to the series again?

Well Cupra just did it. But we have no idea of the teams/drivers. Azcona has tested it recently, and that is all we know.

Now on the other side of the story, you cannot enter the series since the 1st of March, that was the entry deadline if I'm correct. But Ribeiro said that they will not unveil the entry list until all of the teams announce their plans separately. Or at least the teams who asked for it.

BUT who are we still waiting for?
We have 4 Hondas, 4 Hyundais, 4 Lynks, maybe a few Cupras, at least one more Audi (as Comotoyou cannot run a single car, the rules did not permit it). But I don't have any more ideas who could join in

Hungarian Eurosport commentator Lantos András (sometimes he is present here on the forum too) asked the organisers if the 4 car/brand limit is still on?
They responded that it was never an official FIA rule, just a limitation made by the organiser to improve the diversity of the field. This could mean, that anyone could join in private cars if they want and have the budget. But with Engstler sport running two of the Hyundais, I doubt we will have any more. Maybe, just maybe Target...

Has anyone attempted to buy a TCR from Lynk and been refused?

That's the big question.

But for a front running car it would be strange to have no customer interest.

In the Link&Co team I expect Bjork, Muller and Ehrlacher as drivers. For the fourth car It would be good to see Priaulx again but i saw he has signed with Multimatic and probably he's off

Nürburgring 24h, where WTCR have a round on that weekend, will be postponed to late September. Seems WTCR will also be affected.

A huge and cheering crowd of Portuguese will have the pleasure to attend to an extra race. Good to them. Same for those Austrians who decide to take a weekend off at Salzburgring.

FYI, the updated figure showed Slovakia has over 100 confirmed cases, with no fatalities

It's now 185, no fatalities. But comparing with figures than Western Europe, it's a relatively less serious hit country. If the situation cannot be controlled within the first half of the year, I can't see the calendar can provide enough room to run 20 races as promised.

Following other major sports, WTCR have a star-running esport event during the crisis.

It all depends, how they react. Czech republic has closed his borders for private traffic of foreign people and maybe keep this for longer time...

Maybe Slovakia will do something similar????

Such strategies are aiming to detain imported cases, not under the risk of a local spread. But it depends on the situation on the Western side. The following races in Portugal, Spain and Austria, are those who are seriously hit by the virus.

I'm sort of surprised Muller is still racing after he 'retired' a few years ago.
I'd also say Bjork will be retained but don't think Priaulx stays.
