"Elsewhere on the net" is actually Rallycross Online.

What is the problem with a credit like "Source: Rallycross Online"? My colleague Frank Van Rooy (RXO) would appreciate it.

The calendar for the 2011 French Rallycross Championship as confirmed by the FFSA looks as follows:
23.04.-24.04. - Circuit de l'Ouest Parisien - Dreux - France
07.05.-08.05. - Circuit de Faleyras-Gironde - Faleyras - France
21.05.-22.05. - Circuit des Ducs - Essay - France

Anyway - aside from getting the dates from Rallycross online as they are not yet on the AFOR website.

the point I wanted to make is stability of the french dates _ I realise this is easy for them, as the circuits are off road circuits, so rallycross is their thing, and there is no circuit racing dates to fit around, and maybe just a few events at each circuit a year, supermoto, sprint, autocross.

there championship lost a track last year, but another sprint/autocross venue has stepped up into the championship.

In britain apart from blyton the trend is to take a circuit and add rough to make rallycross circuits, in france it seems to be the route to take an all rough or dirt autocross/sprint circuits and add the tarmac sections.

just wanted to make the observation..

Unfortunally the ERC and FRC calendars clashes on a few dates. Lydden Hill, Höljes and Greinbach. I believe that both the ERC and FRC lose out of these clashes. The Interest in the ERC are increasing in France. All French champions for the past few years except David Meslier have expressed their desire to run the ERC. Pailler and Anne have run the entire season. Theuil had planned for the ERC, but could not fund it.(He have not given up! I think maybe Alex Are building a new Scirocco!? Laboulle has his two year plan for the ERC. And What About the new French champion Davy Jeanney? He is a driver of Laboulles M Technologies Team.
In 2010 FFSA changed the date for Dreux or Lavaré (I do not remember witch) which meant that the Höljes audience for the first time got to see some of what France has to offer. The Veteran Herve "Knapick" and His Son in Law Samuel Peu Jumped at the opportunity. And they did good.
And on the other hand. I am sure that many of the ERC regulars would love to drive at Loheac. 30 000+ makes it the Holy Graal of Rallycross. I don’t think Greeinbach can match that!!!

I think it was the loss of Bergerac that caused the swap around of the events in June and July to even the calender up last year.

It is good to see french drivers looking at the erc - real shame that Lydden erc clashes with Dreux, if only the french started a week later then the erc could have been a good shake down test - erc try out for their Div 1 drivers.

Still the french championship still has good strength in numbers in its non erc classes, div 3 and 4. So maybe the AFOR feel they dont need to avoid erc dates.
