Thieving Scumbags Pt2

As some of you may be aware a couple of years ago we had our rally car stolen, since then we have built a replacement car and got back out onto the stages. Well guess what? Now some thieving set of have made off with our trailer and all our wheels (from a locked storage area with floodlighting and cctv/security patrol). Judging from what else was taken (and what wasn't) they were after metal rather than our stuff in particular but that doesn't make it any less galling. thieving pikey

If anyone is offered a very new looking Brian James trailer for a knock down price please let me know. The wheels were Compomotive ML's 7*13 (I'll double check that size) but I suspect they're off to the scrap man.

bert i had my trailer and race car nicked from out side my workshop many moons ago ..... in broad daylight!! the fist place i went to was all the local scrap yards to see if any one had weighed it in .
they wernt the brightest bunch as it was less than 2 miles from the w/shop in the scrappy so it was lucky i got it all back although i had to put a new roof on the car as they had picked it up with an orange peel grab.. doh!
any who i'd go that route coz scrap is good atm and they wont be hanging on to it for long , act quick mate. best of luck.

All that went was our trailer, our wheels and a whole bunch of other metal odds n sods that weren't ours (including things like truck wheels). It's just a whole bunch of metal to take to the scrappy basically.

woody - it's not a nice feeling is it? I doubt we'll see any of it again to be honest but you never know. I assume it wasn't the Megane that got nicked?

I think the scrapyard owners aught to be held accountable for most of this thieving as they know its bound to be nicked !

That's bad again Bert.
Maybe they are already way out to the east, far past Belgium. They are very keen on easy to get stuff.

We had some pikeys nick 2 JCB buckets off the farm and found them in the local scrappies. The owner said he had paid good money for them and wanted to be paid before they were taken away. It so happens that the farmers son is a copper and after he had a "few words" he got them back.

Where was the security patrol when the stuff was nicked? And was the CCTV turned off?

Security were patrolling elsewhere (they cover multiple sites) and the cctv recorded everything nicely - it's not that good at stopping them doing it though, just lets you see what they did.
