Alan, glad you enjoyed it!

Excellent weekend of racing, even if the grids were ridiculously poor!

Race of the weekend was the last race of the day on Sunday - FF's! Cracking three-way battle for the lead until Dave Franklin made contact with the back-marker!!!

Richard Cranium award without any doubt goes to the entire XR3i field! There's a difference between close entertaining racing and wreckless driving! Unfortunately, the latter applies here!
How long before we are reading in the newspapers that a Marshal has been killed due to drivers failing to back off whilst they (Marshals) are on the track? I've calmed down now but yesterday I really wanted to thump certain drivers for their blatant lack of respect for yellow flags!

Nuff said or I'll get into bother!

But I would just like to add that the Clerks over the weekend were absolutely brilliant with their quick discision making and prompt action regarding rule infringements (Although some competitors might choose to disagree!)

Sarah #5 post 86 FF would like to thank all the Orange clad stars for there help in her getting used to her new car.

Especially the flag guys as they really helped with the blues and she's sorry for keeping them so busy with the Yellow's !!!

Thank you Jason, thats very kind of you both. Sarah visited us at the hairpin on Saturday and apologised for stalling the car and for us having to push her to a place of safety.

If only all racing drivers where as polite and as thoughtful.

<RANT>When we got home we watched the highlights of the Touring Car Races from Mondello; they were no better. How can the clubs clamp down on driving standards when the 'professionals' are driving so badly. Even worse, the man at the top condones these antics: 'rubbing is part of the sport'. Fine, but were do we draw the line between 'rubbing', deliberate contact & downright dangerous driving?</RANT>

To be fair to the XR3i drivers, the XR2's were just as bad - & at least the XR3i's all stayed upright!

A good day's racing on Sunday (we weren't there on Saturday). A few more races like that last one & I may start to like FF!

How can you not like FF, especially in the NW with such an excellent regional championship!

Slightly off thread I suppose, but do you think that (As regular Oulton people) that the Champion of Oulton should be better supported?
It's often the last race of the day when many spectators have already gone etc!

We ought to have a bagde or something on our overalls showing our legience (?) to OUR LOCAL championship!

Diz - get some patches run off and give em' to the marshals!

Just 'cos you want to join in and you're trying to keep them sweet.

No seriously - completely agree with you - I'm not normally a big fan of single seaters - but some cracking racing this weekend.

Dave had a winking smiley so I assumed he did quite enjoy our races? They've been quite good again this year I think. (Anyone can join in!)

Badges sound a good idea - time to pester Diz?? (I believe he's having some mugs done - not the drivers!!! - prices based to cover costs)

I can see a plan forming!!

Move house, build 3rd garage, Buy car, (Sprockets car looks good!)!Licence, training. 1st race, get passed many times. Wave at the marshals....easy.

There you go, convinced already! Just remember to hand your commentators sheet in. (Don't worry about the house and garage - it'll all sort out)

Or, contact a team and hire a car for a meeting!

Have you run this plan past Nadine yet?

Having seen the way you drive the Rescue Unit I don't think you will get passed that much Ian

You know when we were told to report "Four Wheels Off" at Anglesey?

Is this what the Clerk meant?
