I did find myself getting distracted a couple of times but then this race was always about tyre management and very hot track conditions, 55ºC at one point and not out and out racing, so from that point of view I found it was interesting. 7

Gave it a 6. I didn’t think is was not as good as Austin but that may have been because of the sky telecast. Did anyone else think the commentary team made a lot more errors than normal? It seemed they were missing on track action, incorrectly identifying cars and simply not realising what was occurring on track much more than usual.

6. Good stuff but somehow I did expect a bit more from this race. A resolute performance from Button, a spirited effort from Raikkonen.

An 8. Rather surprised with the quiet, droning battery cars from Formula Bernie.

8. With Massa finishing on the podium after a stop/go penalty, Rosberg got a new victory after being overtaken by Hamilton in Italy and USA.

I can't believe people are giving this an 8?!

Apart from, Hamilton chasing down Rosberg and a brief scrap between the Ferrari and Red Bulls (or any of them in isolation) naff all else happened did it

at first i didnt think LH would be able to claw back his 7 sec mistake and i spent the last 20 laps with my heart in my throat convinced that one of them was going to blow an engine.

on at a reasonable time so was taking part in the tenths chat room, talking trash with buddies (who dont usually watch) on the phone because its end of season and more people are watching.

i allowed myself to get caught up in it and had fun doing so, so i gave it an 8.

Interlagos is an automatic 8 just for being, come on!

But apart from that, a tense race up front and some good fighting. A shame about the tyres that captain safety Felipe Massa recommended, but you can't have it all.

gloomerize should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Normally, at best this would be a 4/10; a Nico Rosberg victory meaning the WDC can still be decided by 'regular' points and a pretty decent performance by Kimi Räikkönen bump it up to a 5.

There was plenty of intrigue regarding tyre management right enough, but, idk, this race really struggled to hold my attention.

(First post here, btw. Hi!)

A 5. I love Interlagos, but I was hoping for rain. I'll admit the Mercedes scrap was intriguing - sadly, we were sort of robbed of that scrap when Lewis had his little off. Realistically though, I think he would have to made some sort of very risky move to get by Nico. Nico just seemed to have the speed this weekend.

There was some decent battles with the Red Bulls and Ferraris, but a lot of the race was rather undramatic.

7 - only saw the highlights on BBC - but there was a fair amount of action. Obviously would have liked Lewis to have pitted a lap earlier which would have put him back on track either "just" ahead or "just" behind Nico , setting up a real battle.

I was expecting more fireworks but Hamilton just seemed subdued and even though he was close enough to use DRS made no real attempt to do so. I think he had resolved already that he wasn't going to try wheel to wheel stuff with Nico. If they touched and one of them had had to retire it would have been a real problem politically.
I later saw him on an interview made after qualifying and he remarked about how hard it was going to be to pass around Interlagos.

I think he decided second was good enough and he'd save it for Abu Dhabi...
