Minetti Factory Team joins the Series
The exciting Minetti Sports Cars team is set to join the LeMans Sports Series. A locally made product, with good looks and performance to match, the Minetti is a great addition to the LeMans Sports lineup. Team principal, Dennis Holland will take the wheel for the first round of the series. Holland is an experienced racer and is expected to put in a strong performance at Sydney's Oran Park.

Gibson Racing Team Update
Since racing at Calder in April, the Gibson Racing Team has been working hard to repair and improve the engine after retiring from the last race with difficulties. Driver Michael Gibson says the engine is undergoing a complete rebuild and is confident that it will produce more horse power and reliability. The team has also made a lot of small improvements in the car since its debut meeting. The Gibson Racing Team is planning to run at Morgan Park this year followed by a hectic test program over the off season ready for next year’s LeMans Sport Championship. Gibson Racing Team is also pleased to announce that they have gained a new sponsor in Deniliquin InfoTech Solutions. Both Michael and InfoTech Solutions are wrapped in the deal and very excited about the season ahead.

WEST Race Cars Onboard
WEST Race Cars have been a dominant force in prototype sports car racing in Australia since the make first took to the track in 2006. And they're set to join the LeMans Sports Series in 2008. Team principal, Greg Steer is set to take the wheel of a high-tech WEST at Sydney's Oran Park for the opening round of the series. Steer is an accomplished driver, and is expected to have a strong showing at the opening event.

Lady Racer for Formula Tasman
The Formula Tasman ranks are set to be joined by a new outright contender and she means business! Michele Guyer is relatively new to motorsport, having obtained her licence in late 2006. She cut her teeth shortly thereafter in hillclimbing, competing at a variety of events, and improving with every outing, most recently setting a number of "Fastest Time of Day" (FTD) in her striking 1987 March Formula 4000. Guyer credits Erol Richardson with convincing her to venture into open-wheelers. Richardson is an accomplished engineer, also known as the brains behind Bob Muir's Lexus V8-powered Reynard 94D, and under his tutelage, Michele is expected to perform strongly in Formula Tasman.

New Car + Super Diesel Backing = Pumped John Willmington
Luddenham driver John Willmington is fired up about the new Production Racing Cars series. With backing from Sydney-based Super Diesel, Willmington has acquired a new car - a SSS N15 Nissan Pulsar, powered by the popular SR20 engine. Willmington is relatively new to circuit racing, having made his debut in 2007 at the final round of that season's AMRS. He's certainly not lacking enthusiasm or talent though, and his background in go karts has given him a good starting point.
