BTCC Knockhill Race Weekend

Free Practice is halfway through and at the moment it's looking very competitive, several different makes at the top of the timesheets so far.

Strangely it's also Dry! We'll see how long that holds out

And a 17 car field.

1 more and it would almost be respectable!

17 car field - Lets hope all of them start the races. Just wish we had a more solid field with Anthony Reid and a few other ex BTCC drivers who are left out.

Howell being the fastest Dynamics car is interesting. I'm fine with a 17-car grid, they've often produced mroe excitement than the WTCC has with twice as many cars. WSR look to be on the pace, which is also encouraging.

Remember Knockhill only had 18 cars last year. Both GA Astras missed it, and Bentwood Astras

Yes I forgot Gareth Howell, and even though the BTCC grids are small comapred to the WTCC grids, as mentioned yu can never copy the magic of the BTCC.

Great result for Howell

Looks like the racing should be good, 17 cars, i believe thats the biggest grid this year isnt it?

And the Lexus' are not at the back, infact the back 4 or 5 i can see having quite a dice. Shame its not live on TV this weekend

Looks like it could be a good weekend for SEAT/Collard/Turkington. Might turn out to be a bad weekend for Matt Neal, he slid off at McIntyres in FP1. Fiona Leggate ended the session after spinning off at the chicane.

It seems FP2 was brought to an abrupt halt, after James Pickford lost control of his Toledo at the chicane, hit the barriers and rolled the car. But he was back out for Qualifying.

No matter how light his car is that's still a good showing from Howell, Plato's dissapointed me a bit with that positon, as has Collard. What happened to them.

BTCC.net notes Turkington's time was the fastest ever lap by a BTCC car round Knockhill. (I presume 2001 on regs..)

This could be the best touring car weekend ever!

Excellent work from Howell...great field, WTCC looks a bit insane aswell, not to mention the DTM Opel assention (for a day no doubt).

Muller vs Neal clearly turning into something of a strange love-hate relationship

I know, it's far more fun to watch wet races on the TV than at the circuit

As heard on TV:

Team Dynamics have appealed against Muller's 2 points (licence, not championship) endorsement in race one...(that's kind of them)

What a dirty move by Plato to take Howell out on the finish straight when the safety car was out.
