There is a new travel inn at Thetford literally a few hundred yards off the A11. http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/...2&iscsell=true

I suggest you check out old english inns - the one in Thetford is pretty good value - and haunted!

Though saying that - there used to be a good greasy spoon at Foulger's depot right next to the circuit - but that went by the wayside when they upgraded the A11. That's me thinking of my stomach first, place to sleep second. What you need is a nice 32ft Class A American motorhome....... Queen Size bed (King size in English), aircon, warm air central heating, fridge freezer, shower, etc..... Chateau-Whereitstops. Rob. |

Barton Mills travel lodge was good, but even better was Old Bull Inn in Mildenhall (01638 711001) www.bullinn-bartonmills.com

I would heartily recommend Hill House Farm near Wymondham, which is 10 minutes from the circuit. I've stayed there the last 5 times i've been out to Snetterton and found it to be excellent each time.
It's a B&B run by a lovely old lady who has photos of Jim Clark on her breakfast room wall and cooks a memorable fry-up! Details: Hill House Farm Deopham Road Great Ellingham Attleborough Norfolk NR17 1LS Tel : 01953 453113 Email : beales@hillhousefarm.fslife.co.uk Run by Mrs Maureen Beales There are also plenty of alternatives here: http://www.wymondham-norfolk.co.uk/t...ommodation.htm |

I've stayed at the Abbey hotel in Wymondham, pleasant enough. Nigel Mansell was there as well, so it must be OK!

Another Maureen Beales fan here.
Also stayed at the Old Rectory which was good - can't remember the village, but it's on the Wolsey Lodges website. |

Stayed at the newly opened Field Cottage. Was one mile down from the circuit, and was really sleek. Breakfast was continental, but plenty of it and good quality. Had plenty of off road parking space.

Another good one very close to the circuit is the Larling Angel pub - comfortable rooms and excellent real ales and food

I can definitely recommend the Shelbourne House in Attlenorough, where we stayed for three days when we've tested at Snetterton. Great place, 4 star, 8 rooms, great service, Internet conservatory, not very expensive hotel. Definitely we'll go back there.
