One thing we are starting to see this year is that there isn't much room for amateurs in LMP2 anymore. It's becoming the preferred option for junior open wheeler drivers.

Gap between #2 and #6 is narrowing down.
Are Porsche going to retain Lieb next year as well? |

Kobayashi is now in sight of Lieb and still catching at at least a second a lap.
Edit - #6 passes with a good move into T4. Last edited by J Jay; 6 Nov 2016 at 05:26. |

Too bad some peple find this race boring ... with so many cars on track and all going so fast, there is never a shortage of things to watch. WEC putting on a great season so far .... At least this time Audi is getting screwed by luck, not politics.

I don't know, is that really great racing? Press the boost button and drive around.

There is no boost button. The electric drive is built in. They may have an anti-boost button to override it activating though. But it kicks in on it's own.

I knew that this would be a Porsche white wash, and Audi would find some way to screw themselves out of a win.

The #8 lost about a minute(!) in the last stop. They still haven't found a solution.

The problem the #8 has is inside the car or has nothing to do with the car itself?

They've already lost so much time that if it's an issue with the car, why not take it to the garage and get it fixed?
BTW, seeing this race, I don't care about Audi dropping the WEC anymore. I think that unless they wreck or have a big problem, the #1 Porsche has it locked up. |
