FLY ARMY

Bon Jour All,
I am not sure if any of our site members have any interest in Motor Sport in the British Forces, if so, you might like to look at this book: www.flyarmy.co.uk
This is a book covering military rallying from 1971 up to 1981 and covers all the vehicles that we used during that period including Turbocharged Land Rovers, Austin 1800, and of course the Mini.
The intro is by the world famous Turbo charging supremo Allan Allard.
It took me three years to write the book, and another year to get it published in the USA.
Regards and Gang Warily.
Les Dalton.

Hi Les, I presume your Gang Warily phrase has some special French meaning! (Gallic anyway) I have a Niece who went to Afganistan last week. She is a Reporter with BFBS and she used to follow the bikes when she was back home. I am sure she will find your book an interesting read - as will I.

Bon jour Sam,
Actually Gang Warily is part of the Logo used by the Royal Scottish Automobile Club, and was used on the finishers plaques during the 1970s.
I think the litteral translation means: Go Careful.
Kind regards,
Les.
