They did five in 2014 and will do again. Need to also mention Maini and Munro, hopefully they will be in for the title, too. Nikita Mazepin is this field's promising karting graduate, we always have one or two in the grid (Olsen, Kodric, Piquet...). The next Kiwi revelation could be Jamie Conroy, Formula Ford NZ champion.

I hope that Maini will win the championship, but it seems that Stroll will do it.

As far as I understand it from conversations in the pits, roughly about $NZ200k. Approx equal to 100k Euros. Not sure whether that would include accommodation and travel etc which might possibly be another $NZ20k depending on how you do it.

Some one more involved in the Series may well be able to give a more definitive answer.

Can someone explain to me the huge time delays between the race finishing and the jump start penalties given to Arjun Maini that help Lance Stroll???

Not that Stroll isn't a phenomenal talent, of course, but it does seem a little unfair and unnecessary...

Always seems to be the case with TRS. It took them weeks to reverse an unjustified penalty on Alberico last year (which dropped him down 6 places in the standings originally). Nobody seemed to acknowledge the change either.

Stroll is champion, deservedly, ahead of his mentor, Ferrucci and Maini, MacLeod rounds out top 5 ahead of some of the more local lads...

Ferrucci had a great close to the season, as did MacLeod.

Not sure that Stroll is anything special though, Maisano with most wins, poles and fastest laps, Stroll just steady and unspectacular, mind you, he got the job done i suppose.

Found this article from March 2014 saying that because of national service, he could have to take 2 years off racing:

https://sg.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/fi...094026950.html

Haven't followed the championship mind you, but I suppose that a 16 year-old being "steady" and "getting the job done" isn't such a bad thing. But then again, given Stroll's impressive backing, you'd think he'd be in position to take more risks and go for outright results, as after all he's there to learn.

This year's field higher quality than last year's field, thanks to there being no Florida Winter Series, unfortunately for we US fans!
