Chris Vermulen!!
Yeah, I know it's a day late but what a fantastic performance from him today in race 2 at Silverstone! Isn't that the first non-Ducati win in WSBK since Colin Edwards on the Honda in Race 2 at Imola in 2002?
Great stuff - First Rossi at Welkom and Chili at Misano back to back... and now Rossi at Catalunya and Vermulen at Silverstone back to back... Rossi must be really inspiring those guys on inferior bikes in WSBK! Maybe it's really him in disguise or something - it was on a yellow bike in both cases after all... Fabulous result for Chris and the Ten Kate team. But there is no doubting that the Fireblade Honda is coming on strong. I'd love to see a second bike in the hands of another top-quality rider.

An experienced rider would be ideal. Consideirng that Honda aren't funding the team at all, they're getitng a lot of publcicity benefits form it,s o ambye they's allow one of their riders to join?

One would think they would get at least some help. But who knows...

I imagine they get some help, but you have to remember Ten Kate has done his own thing for years. He is a top tuner and tends to put more man hours into his engines than any other tuner. So really his is kind of an unofficial HRC Europre operation.
I wonder if the HM PLant team gave them any bits for the weekend...Coz though Chris has been good this year, he hasn't shown race winning form until Silverstone. |

The fact that Fila Fucati were comparatively off-the-pace, and Chili was unable to get qualifying right, undoubtedly helped - they've been on comparable pace with everyoen else all year.
