Gerry Cains 3.5 Rover
Sad to read that Gerry's big beautiful rumbling Rover has been damaged.
I raced at the same meetings as Gerry way back in the late 90s, and at the Croft meeting in June of 96, he won the mod prod saloon race, and I won the Khumo BMW race, we were chatting after our races, and he offered me the Rover for £10K, if I had got that sort of money, I would have snatched his hand off, but unfortunately, I had a daughter going through Uni, (Nuff Said) I remember he had a lovely "oldish" guy that used to look after his car at that time.
