The Astons always manage to screw up though.
I never thought that they would retire the car. I thought they had at least one spare tub ready in case such a thing happened, given the team's experience and budget. |

I'm wondering about that, too. At least I thought Labre would have a spare chassis they could borrow back to the factory team.

Makes you wonder how many chassis' they have built in total from the C7.R, only 3? |

3 or 5 I think. Did P&M fly over their TUSC cars or are they LM 'specials'?
I'm sure they'll bring a spare chassis of the new car next year, maybe even 3 race entries to counter Ford? |

from a very reliable source I can tell you that actually exist 3.5 C7R chassis:
2 of these have been built in late 2013 and have been used by corvette racing in 2014 and currently during this season; one has been used by P&M during summer 2013 tests and actually used by larbre racing; a fourth one, or better say, the first one ever built was used only for short tests during early stages of the development |

I am amazed that they don't have a spare car.

Im kind of confused as to why everyone "expects" Corvette to have a spare car with them, its not cheap to ship a car over and i don't think any GT team brings a spare car with them. Not even AF Corse brings a spare car to the event and they have them everywhere.
Anyway, if the bookmakers are to be believed its not looking good for the #64 who has the least chance of wining with odds of 12/1. |

Corvette has no reason to build spare chassis. It's expensive, consumes time and money and is usually entirely unnecessary....

Wonder what slogan they'll use for the sole Vette's win? "Lone-Wolf"? Good ol' Vette though, thundering on by itself and still beating the competition. Probably their most gratifying win.

Each manufacturer had one bullet left. 64-51-99-91. Corvette was the only one to survive. Full props to them and congrats on sweeping all the endurance races so far.

Also I think this thread should be renamed to "Corvette GTE Discussion" to have consistency with the titles of other threads. |

Great win for corvette, nice way to steal fords limelight after Friday's announcement.no better way to send a message than going out there and winning the race and showing them how it's done.
Job well done.lets see what they can do next year against ford and ferrari with new cars, should be fun! |

Looks like the Labre #50 may be coming back across the Pond to be put into service by Corvette Racing as the #3.

Vettes twitter says the Labre car will run in TUSC for the next 2 races. No spares because new GTE regs next year.
