Cholmondeley Pageant of Power

Hopefully this is the right place for this, as most of the cars are classics. Its along the same idea as the Goodwood Festival of Speed, just a bit smaller but still with a great selection of race/road cars and bikes doing runs up there own hill climb style course.

Anyway here's mi pics n vid from Saturdays action, all comments welcome.

Is that XJ220 an S, a C or just a normal roadcar with the bodywork from the S/C?

Commentator said it was a race car, sounded V6 to me, but went/driven hard.

My first time to this venue, and it is very relaxed and very inviting.

Good paddock of cars, something for everyone with some very special racers and one or two road cars.

My 4th visit. A few changes in the background but still a good event. It helped that the weather was good.

What a fantastic shot of the Napier Bentley - presumably he gets in trouble for that for 3 wheels off!

He was clearly "trying" ... here's some footage of him slightly overdoing it ...

I very much hope the only damage was the strawbales, because I love to see that car being driven in the way that it is!

From what I saw afterwards the only damage was a bit of straw in the radiator. Got to like Chris Williams. Totally mad to do what he does with two fingers up at political correctness...Love it

Excellent video. I was that marshal at the chicane when Chris came to visit me! First time I've had to ask race control for a haybale rebuild! Fortunately, both driver and car were unhurt and came out to play again over the weekend.

It was a good job it wasn't his team-mate, Duncan Round, in the Packard-Bentley who ploughed into the bales, otherwise the boys in orange may have had a conflagration of epic proportions to deal with

Were the bales on 'sale or return'?
