Bourbon tasting got sloppy.
Thanks to Aston Martin Racing Team, RLL and a Porsche team (which I forgot who) for showing up in big numbers and with bottles.

The early entry has been removed from the Ultimate Fan package, that was confirmed with the email he sent for renewal. Also price went up by 25 bucks for the season pass, camping did not change

It's almost enough for me to just get Mitty and Petit tickets and swap to just buying the reserved for Petit but don't know the pricing on that yet. I have not asked if the no early entry means a reserved RV change but that was not mentioned. I have to assume the early entry was removed as it was massively cheated on the last few years, more than a few campers this year were not early entry eligible and folks were cheating through one of the side gates.

I just hope they don't screw with the reserved RV early entry. It's already a little bit of a cluster F. They say 8:00am Tues entry for reserved RV but this year it was delays for over an hour for some reason. I arrived at 7:30am and didn't get to my parking spot until 9:45am. Rumor has it that they may not allow anyone in as late as 5:00pm on Tuesday. Without knowing a reliable entry time, it becomes even more screwy.

My guess is that it's just another side effect of the NASCAR ownership. This and the new dreaded speed bumps.

Nope, nothing to do with ownership. Speed bumps were state required for insurance coverage. Same with the bike helmet obsession , they were warned by Hall County they would start patrolling more and the track response was to be more aggressive to stop the patrols, cause that's the alcohol hatred too, GSP don't give a rip about it. The early entry is likely due to cheating and camping entry all day Tuesday that was not within the regs with RV guys leaving and coming back in saying it was their car and they went to Publix

Just spoke with Shannon and he verified that there would be NO early entry for anyone other than workers and reserved RV. Again, sighting some legal safety reason with conflicts between the team equipment entries and the volume of people with early public entry. He did assure me that reserved RV people would have access on Tuesday well before general entry on Wednesday. Most likely around 5:00pm but possibly a little later depending on the situation. I guess it sucks for those that use to buy the Ultimate Fan Club passes for the early entry. For me it means I don't have to get up so early on Tuesday and don't have to fight so many others for EZ-UP setup. Wednesday will be a complete cluster. Glad to be far away from the entry gates on that day.

They probably could have done a better job of safeguarding against people sneaking in by issuing some type of Tuesday entry pass or a specifically colored stamp on their hands when they leave. Oh well, as long as reserved RV has some type of early entry it won't be too bad. Just wish they would dial in the exact time for early entry other than some time after 5:00pm on Tuesday. Wonder how many snuck in by hiding in a friends RV. They never even looked inside ours.

Yup, that's right the devil has taken over the track. Getting to be enough I'd almost stop going. Ticketmaster sucks, doesn't work half the time, and has ruined nearly all decent old music venues by buying them and closing many to increase their grip on sales.

How many ways can they screw up just buying a ticket? The last time they made a big change it took several calls to get things straightened out. I hate the idea of not being able to see your tickets until 3 weeks prior to the event. I purchase my tickets long before the event. Reserved RV is usually bought as soon as I get the notice. Don't want any chance of missing out. Later I'll buy the actual entry tickets and the golf cart pass. What a stinken mess.

I've never used TicketMaster. Anyone have a clue as to how to make purchases with them? Do we log directly into my TicketMaster account or will be we be going through the Road Atlanta portal? How on earth will they be able to reassign the reserved RV tickets?

Also looks like they're no longer going to allow tents only to be setup in non-reserved RV camping areas. Here's a statement on the purchase tickets area of the site:

Non-reserve RV areas are for self-contained RVs with their own bathroom and water tanks. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and each area is divided into designated spots.

Looks like the tickets are on sale now. I just checked and my RV renewal along with my 4-day tickets are listed under my Ticket Master account.
