Wow, those are dull compared to both Lizards and KPax's cars last year.

I actually favor cars with more simple, elegant liveries, so I really do like the look of these cars. However, to my eye last years Kpax dark blue/yellow livery was pretty near perfection. Perfection is a hard act to follow.

Here's another look at the #6 livery.

Watching gts race right now. Shaw does a good job commenting.. the other guy really struggles. He just was talking about the gap between first and second. Said something like the leader just pulled out another .7 second lead by running a 2:18.4 compared to second place cars 2:18.9...how does that math work? Time for someone a bit more seasoned I think.

VC Vision really needs to have a look at their scheduling.... COTA in March is just not a good place to kick off the season.

It's completely devoid of any flair or glamour, looks kinda dreary and puts a bit of a dampener on the excitement.

There's definitely better tracks, visually, later in the season. That start was absolutely breathtaking, though!

Not too sold on that either. Takes forever to set up the grid and unsurprisingly, there were quite a number of stalled cars.

Things worked out this time, but I find the standing starts very gimicky and quite dangerous as well.

Fair enough. I'd like WC with or without standing starts, either way is fine with me.

I thought this one was particularly impressive, simply because of the vast number of gorgeous GT cars that all managed to get going without major issue!

Yep, drivers were definitely questioning the standing starts this morning, and I'd like to see them be taken away, personally.

The way they compact the entire grid up to fit on the main straight is incredibly dangerous.

As show at Detroit last year, it doesn't even look to be a full car length between cars.

Agreed.
The standing start is incredibly awesome when all goes well, although personally I think a rolling start is more practical.

Telephoto lenses cause everything to look bunched up.

Yeah it's much safer when they're bunched that close and already doing 100mph at the start/finish line.

There's an age old argument about the fairness of standing starts in a BOP series but you're hilariously exaggerating any safety issues to push an agenda.

One more from just last year showing the flying starts are not necessarily safer.

No issues of stalled cars with rolling starts. The speed differential in impacts between cars on a rolling start is much smaller than when you've got someone stalling on the front of the grid and someone smacks their stationary car at anything over 60mph.

Not pushing any agenda's, I'm sure you'd find many of the drivers feel the same way, considering they voiced concerns about it during Friday's drivers meeting, and especially when using GT3 cars, which are not designed to do standing starts.

With so many cars this year, I agree that the standing start should probably be abandoned. Most likely todays race will feature a rolling start due to the rainy weather.
