If you say so.

You have to believe theres going to be teething problems of some sort next year. Whether only one or two cars experience them or a fair few do, who knows, but you cant expect all the VE's next year to hit the ground running and instantly be on the pace.

That rear wing looks a fair way back. I though they were to be within the confines of the bodywork.

It is not possible for one make to 'flog' another make in this series.

Parity adjustments are made long before any domination takes place these days.

No but you can find some good Holden pics here

you've got to go in about 7 pages to find the pics I posted here and about 20 pages in for a few Brock XU-1 & Commodore pics.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
when was the last time we had a parity adjustment.

We havent had one in four years(project blueprint with two new cars) and before that they allowed one car to have an advantahe over the other for 5 years

is it only Skaife and Todd to drive it so far, seen on sports tonight at the launch they had several holden drivers:Skaife,Todd,Rick,Tander,Murph and i think there was a couple more but the pictures were quick so didn't get a good look.

will the rest of the said drivers get a drive of this car or will they have to wait until their respective teams get theirs built.

The last parity adjustment was (belatedly) to the AU in 2003.

From the front, you could put a Ford oval on the VE grille, apint it in Cat colours and it would be hard t tell the difference between it and a BA

That's exactly what I thought when I saw one in the street... Only once I'd seen the back did I go "Oh, it's a Commodore..."

Not to put your precise knowledge into question (since someone else said a parity adjustment was done in 2003 for the AU), but I'm very sure they made a parity adjustment to the AU in the VT era, giving the AU the front splitter of the VT and shortening the undertray.

They definately did give the AU a new VT/VX style undertray, I've got posters and photos of them.

they did do a parity adjust to the AU ,wont argue there, but it didnt give us parity did it. It just brought them closer It wasn't to 2003 that a parity adjustment occurred to the AU, but by then the main ford teams were running BA's and project Blueprint had occurred, so that was great for the development series, but really of minimal use to the main game

The AU's original 'cheesecutter' splitter which proved quite fragile was indeed replaced with a VT style one, not very scientific though and the Ford teams commented that it was less effective than the original, but was far stronger.
Lengthening of the undertray is better, I don't recall the AU undertray being shortened.

The general point seems to be though since 2003 there hasnt been any issues, hence PB must be a success.

Do you reckon they might engage Oscar to help with the Woomera testing?

Was this the 'cheescutter splitter?' If so, why was it called that?

Yep, that is the cheescutter splitter, named because of the small piece of in the center of the splitter. IIRC.
