Driver TBA should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
How much did the Tickford silencers weigh? I'm positive if Ludo was still at 888, the Red Bull cars would be sporting heavy weight silencers. No doubt all other 22 cars will have new mufflers at round 3.

Fitting an already broken splitter to car 97 in quali, 'catastrophic' engine failure and 88 outpaced by WAU and BJR. Not very 888 like.

I believe what AA are saying is that Tickford don't have the heavy mufflers.

Chaz' drive would seem to say it isn't really a problem...

Now this:
https://www.speedcafe.com/2019/03/16...-gravity-test/

Supercars to conduct a CoG test. Was this not an accusation levelled at the Volvo too?

Now testing COG? They already have this data no? Surely a thorough homologation process (as Supercars do) would have already given them that data?

So not an areo parity issue, but a light weight body issue.

The ballast silencer is just nothing short of brilliant.

Exceed track limits at turn 12 - potential penalty.

Make a pass completely off the circuit - no penalty.

Hmm... Testing the COG of the cars seems an unreasonable precedent given there is no minimum centre of gravity rule, and therefore no reason to check COG and therefore that COG is a parameter that teams are allowed to optimise and develop. Strange.

Isn't there? From 2014:

V8 Supercars has measured each of the engines used in the category to find its centre of gravity and would like any changes that flow from that process to be in-place as soon as the April 24-27 ITM 500 Auckland.

Nah, Holden wins after change to Mustang renders them noncompetitive.

Funny I'm having shades of lightweight panels too...

EDIT: How's the friendly fire. Haven't seen a replay yet but Scott doesn't look happy...

Not even remotely unreasonable - professional approach to take. Measure the different cars, assess what the situation actually is (rather than guessing) make a report for the commission to decide if a change to the rules is warranted.

Not a precedent in any way - checking & measurement of cars across a variety of areas has happened many, many times in the past and that data been used to determine need (or not) for rule changes / additions.

It's called professional technical management - F1 have done similar things too, as have a vast number of racing series world wide.

Bizarre warm up lap.

Wheels falling off at 888.... Horrible weekend for SVG. Can't take a trick.
Then 88 napping at the restart.

Great to see Mozzie back on the top step.

Wags suggestion Cam Waters thought it was a cars and coffee and had to do the Mustang thing....

Waters "won't take all of the blame"

Sorry mate but when you can see the car in front, you take the blame.
