He might have the chance to stay, but he will definitely won't. After all what has happened in the last two seasons, RB must understand that if he wants to be a big name in F1 history, he has to quit his job at ferrari.

Peter Sauber is being very protective of his young stars. They are both under contract for next year and "not for sale at any cost". I wonder what would happen to his customer engine deal should he turn down ferrari however?

Rubens' days are numbered but I could see him at Mclaren next year following Hakkinens retirement.

Autosport are saying that Ron Dennis wants to keep his current driver line up. It also dismisses speculation that Rubens will leave Marinello next year, effectively tying up the top four drives.

But hey isn't this a little early for the silly season to start?

Silly season seems to be getting earlier and earlier every year. Remember JV conducting F1 musical chairs last year (only to stay put)? Minardi and Arrows are looking for an engine deal etc etc.

The top teams tend to re-sign drivers earlier anyway.

Peter Sauber has indeed said he will NOT consider offers from any other teams until Nick's contract expires at the end of 2002 and Kimi's ends at the end of 2003.
