Seton to LMS??

I have it on good authority that Glen Seton is off to Larkham Motorsport next year, the deal is done apparently, but the contract not signed.

So watch this space.

Hmmmm....... Seto with a decent chassis and a SBR motor could see him in the top ten again more regulary. Look forward to it and glad he will still be around

HSE2 that info travelled a long way from Brissie to Tassie, but I am led to believe there may be some delay in the processing of the said funds.

Mr Seton MAY have been asked to take the payments spread over installments in 2006, as the current DJR budget is a little thin, what with all things considered........

AA reported that Mr Seton was having issues achieving the financial fulfilment of his deal with DJR.... presumably this is true... and it is sad if it is....

With the noise of that team having sold off its 2 Development series BA's, a tyre kicker looking serious at their AU.. you would have thought there would be cash washing thru the place....

... except Westpoint doesnt seem as stable as it once was, there is noise around an engine program going over budget by more than 100%, while the powder room suggests a broom is on its way to Stapylton to make some big changes....

Paying a bloke they dont have an affinity with, even if they are contractually obliged to, may not be at the top of their priority list........

Engine development 100 % over budget? I hope they notice that the SBR engine program is thus the way to go, for all ford teams.

Thats a bit rough barney551!

In terms of a fulltime gig in an established Ford team, this would have to be the only option now for Seto.

Britek would be a step back at this stage develpment wise and the fact the #25 seat may not take you to NZ, China etc... The next best plum drive is an endurance mount at SBR, 888 or even HRT.

Junior seems to be a protected species at DJR and its everyone elses fault. I just believe if the team is to continue tey need to get rid of him.

Lets see how he goes with another team

If Davison shows him up he'd be inserting his own rocket somewhere I'd imagine....

Whens the last time Car #17 did not have the name Johnson on the rear window or front guard? It must nearly go back a couple of hundred ATCC rounds surely!!!

Falc???

Maybe he has watched the Ellery experiment, doing the same thing as everyone is saying he should do, and decided he didn't want to run the risk of getting sacked by someone else.... even though if that happened, form tells us that DJR would just sack someone to put him back in one of their seats....

That was it really. Small article.

Couple of letters to the editor expressing their anger at the Seton/DJR fiasco. The Ed replied that the person who wrote the letter was not the only one who is miffed, Glenn's a popular bloke with a lot of fans.

So at least people are taking notice of us.

Anyway, it seems it's either Larkham Motor Sport (the two car team that finished dead last this year) or an enduro drive with SBR or T888. Glenn also admitted in MS News that sitting out all year and then trying to be competitive for 2 races and matching his team mates lap times is a big ask.

So a team that trundles in P26 or lapping Bathurst 2 seconds slower than say Ingall or Lowndes?

Let's hope things are not this grim for this Ford icon.

Yeah I am not too enthusiastic about this news. All this does is allow the detractors the opportunity for the "told ya so". I was hoping for a Holden seat as this and only this would allow Glenn a decent shot at being competitive. I am as blue as they come but if one is serious about proving a point the options in the blue corner don’t look likely to allow that to happen. Loyalty is one thing but that’s being realistic.

Having said that Larkham is a decent bloke that deserves better then he has been getting. I really want to see Larkham do better but Glenn isn't a miracle worker.

Larkham is a fantastic bloke. Very nice. Very honest. Very decent. He gives up his own seat to make way for young Winterbottom to join his team...only to have Ford put him in FPR.

But anyway.

Look what Paul Radisich did at TKR. Who knows? Maybe Glenn can find something? Doubtful though.

Bargwanna is a speedy driver, a bit reckless at times though. That worries me about a potential Seton/Bargwanna pairing at Bathurst.

The cars need A LOT of work. Better chassis and the team needs MONEY! A LOT of it!

Fingers crossed it works out.

#10 - J.Bargwanna
#20 - G.Seton

Could this be the new Ford pairing in 2006?

Yeah I've enver understood how a team can consider it better to be paying a driver to drive for another team while they get in a new driver who is bound to be behind the 8-ball. It makes no sense.

RedNine Racing has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I was hanging out for the enduro drive at SBR or T8.

Lets face, that 1 big race is the one that matters for glenn now,,and i really admire Larko,he`s a battler that does it the right way..But i just dont see Glenn taking out Bathurst at LMS....Unless of course its one of them races that happens once in a while at Bathurst...But heres hoping

RedNine Racing: I know what you're saying. But it's all to be confirmed just yet. So who knows... we may see him co-driving for SBR or T888.

Genuinely DJR is not significantly more competitive than LMS, even if LMS finished as last team this year (bad luck mainly) their top driver did finish 10th-ish in last year drivers series I think, very similar to DJR, GRM, FPR etc. etc. etc. etc.

T8 decided to sign Whincup, which I think is extremely daft, but they are free to waste their own money provided that the majority of the budget (esp. all the ford money) goes to the Lowndes-mobile. For Seton to sign up for an enduro with them would be ludicrous, they were bloodly lowly Briggs motorsport not that long ago, and it's more a case of a very specific config that suits and is geared to Lowndes like Alonsos is I think.
