Aussies get call up for Daytona

After their impressive drives in the race of 1000 years at Adelaide ..2 Australian drivers will compete at the Daytona 24hr race.
Allan Heath finished an incredible 2nd for Franz Conrad's team at Adelaide has been asked to drive for the team at daytona.
he claims he could have gone faster at Adelaide but he was told if he bends anything he has to foot the repair bill..so he drove accordingly..he is also trying to raise the money to agian compete in the Oz V8 supercar series at a much higher level than what he did in 2000.

Christian D'Agostin is also hoping to make the trek to Daytona and drive a Porsche 911 GT3-R which he co drove at Adelaide to finish just outside of the top 10..allthough Christian is unsure about getting some testing in before the event due to a date clash with his Australian Commodore cup commitments..he has been trying for the last 3 years to win the series and now with a nadfull of rounds to go he is in a good position to win it..but giving up an international sportscar drive for commodore cup seems a bit silly..but then again its only for a test drive and it looks as though he will drive in the 24hr race.
