Mr Rust isn't on the "Summer Grill" to defend his former workmates, he's supposed to be on there to air his views with Mr Fogarty

Problem with Inside Supercars is that it is all a bit too matey. Never will a crap decision by the organisers, a team or driver be called for what it is, it just gets glossed over. Can understand the don't bite the hand that feeds philosophy, but other Fox shows like AFL360 / NRL360 who are also rights holders in their respective codes lay in when warranted.

As for Supercars Life, might as well rename that Lifestyles of the Rich & Shameless and be done with it.

Rust has been pretty defensive about a few things that Foges has brought up in a couple of episodes.

When Fogarty questioned that the series didn't promote Simona enough, and when Fogarty wondered aloud about the motivations behind 23RED being formed, Rust was a pretty closed shop and wouldn't really hear anything negative Fogarty said about it....

So Greg Murphy replaces Mr. Rust as main pit reporter while Mark Larkham becomes the technical reporter (or the "breakdown" reporter)

This will be a great improvement.

Just need to expunge the Nascar inspired nonsense of commentators referring to "the 33" and "the 97" and the telecast may even be watchable with the sound on.

What is it you want them to say? "the number 97 Red bull comnmodore driven by Shane Van Gisbergen" is quite a mouthful

Number 97 is sufficient as is 97. Or just use the drivers name which is the way its been done for years.

We can live without the American affectation.

You're surely not insinuating Greg Murphy has been the technical reporter?

Agreed, especially as the cars don't even have proper numbers anymore, it's a puzzling commentary technique that has crept in during the Foxtel era.

On the Stu McCarthy podcast it is also mentioned that Rust is starting up his own podcast as well

Sounds like he will just be freelancing and picking up work as it comes along.

I think they've gone for two opposite ends of the spectrum there, Rust is probably a bit too serious and Power obviously has little knowledge of Supercars so goes for the simple gags, which makes it pretty disjointed between them (it's also the first show to bear in mind too of course)

Ironically I think Skaife and Power doing this could be a better mesh for this type of light hearted show.

Perhaps, but there is no doubting it was a horrible performance from Mr Power.

Dunlop could do much better.

What is HG Nelson up to?
