Red Flag.

Was it correct 4 NASCAR to red-flag the Michigan race with 5 laps to go & therefore to get 3 green flag laps till end of race!Personally I liked that call but seems to Me that NASCAR shud be more consistent in their handling of situations like this,IMO!Any comments, either way, please speak up as replies r most welcome, thanks 4 listening!

Seems like that is the rule from now on. They did it in the Busch race yesterday at Kentucky also.

Tnx 4 info, didn't realize that it happened in Busch race, don't follow that series.I just think most of the fans griping is based on NASCAR's uneven handling of these situations,IMO!

I agree with red-flagging the race in that situation but I do think NASCAR needs to be more consistent in their application of this procedure.

It sometimes appears to me that it depends on who is leading the race as to whether or not the red flag is shown. JMO

NASCAR has been consistant this season. If there are enough laps left that they can gather the cars together, red flag it, and have the needed laps to get the race started again then they have been red flagging it. If there aren't enough laps left to take control of the cars, lead them around to where they all stop, red flag for clean up, start them all up and make a couple of caution laps to give one to go,etc, and then run a couple of green flag laps then they let the race end under caution in both the Busch and Cup. The trucks have to end green, white, checkered.

I won't argue about it, look at the first 2 races and then preach to me that Nascar is consistant !!!

If you think they are inconsistant, there is nothing I can do to change your mind, but remember there have to be a certain number of laps left in order to restart the race. I believe there also has to be a lap for pitting thrown into the mix.
Roselady, thanx. I come visit but I don't often post.
