Nick JM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'm there on Sat with HRDC supporting AMOC racing. 300 circuit so having never been to Snett before it will be a big learning curve...first time on the track in qually!

Great weather , great racing and VSCC must be one of best ways of a young person to start racing .

Met many people I haven't seen for ages and new people who seemed to know me.

John, you are a legend in your own lifetime!! Good to catch up, albeit briefly.

I, too, caught up with old friends and made some new ones!

This is a splendid meeting well supported by members and spectators, and there were a couple of very good sized grids but there were also some low grids which was disappointing. They deserved better:-

Enjoyed my first visit to Snetterton, both the AMOC and VSCC meetings.
Great to see the VSCC cars, both in the paddock and on track.

I thought the best race was the first one, a exciting battle for the lead.

Will post a few pictures once I have been through them.

John, sorry we didn't catch up. Any chance of pics of the Talbots (Keep JR happy), the Sam Stretton Alta and the Keith Piper and Edward Bradley Astons. I missed all the early races and particularly disappointed not to see Race 1 which looked like the biggest grid.

you are correct about the grids and I am late to the party this season for various reasons but now I finally have a reliable car I will be looking to race with these series next year.

Looking at the grids I saw a lot of names from early Top Hat/Cloth Cap/gent drivers days which were IMHO the halcyon days of historic racing. Definitely series that should be supported.

I went on sunday, good size crowd, better than the 4 or 5 hundred for a normal club meeting, very poor grids,as entertainment poor, would not go again. AMOC looked better on Saturday, now there is a turnaround!

Thanks chaps.

Pleased people liked first race as John Guyatt puts lots of effort into providing a decent size grid.

Fred in the Nash ,who is one of the best blokes in old car racing and foreign , said that trying to get past Gareth in the Talbot was like trying to pass a motor home!

He didn't make it and Talbot won race so it's three events and three wins this year,
Le Mans Classic,Alpine Trial and now VSCC.

Those Talbots are the best all round Pre War cars!

(My bias may show!)

John (brands) all understood. At Combe it will probably have to be a chance meeting (as last year) because it is going to be pretty manic for me, I reckon!

John (R), so you will race the non supercharged car then? If yes, you know what the next question is going to be!

It's first race should be Donington Festival assuming Duncan W sorts a pre war race.

Due to some cars seemingly running in most of the races these batches are just picks from the day, in time order.

Last batch. That should cover the races up to John T's ones.
Highlight race was the first one, most fun was the front engined canoe which started last and got on the podium.
