Dick Johnson Back Behind The Wheel ¿¿
Is It True???
Scuttlebut everwhere is that DJ and a few of his old rivals getting together at the Gold Coast this weekend to help fill the void left by the farce that is A1 GP?? I only caught the last of the nesw report that showed DJ starting up Tru Blue??? Would be awsome to see Tru Blue back on the track once more |

"Race"
Very valuable cars, circuit with a lot to crash in to... Seems like they will be very cautious (it would be terrible if one of the priceless cars were crashed!!!), doesn't really bring much extra over an ordinary Grp A/C race IMO. |

A handicap like the F1 - V8 Supercar - road car race that occurs at the F1 GP? I can only remember lap times for Bathurst, but George Fury's fastest Group C time was a 2:14 (without having to take the Chase). How have lap times compared at circuits like Sandown or Oran Park?

Nostalgia versus A1GP? I'd pay admission price alone to see the Beechey Monaro run at any speed given I can never get to the ECreek Masters meet.

I think it will be an awesome parade.....but thats all.
Great to see these cars & drivers on track at the same time. A real blast from the past! It cant replace a whole racing category. And surely they're being even more dillusional than when they thought A1 were coming if they think these will race in anger. |

Oh I'll be watching, and listening.

Boring, slow, fast, exciting, crashes (Gawd I hope not!!!) Whatever... What is going to happen this weekend, with the old cars and the older drivers, will not be happening in 2019. So enjoy it for what it is, as the cars are here forever, the organic material that made them great, are not. |

Was mentioned by someone that John French has been invited, maybe he's driving Tru Blu? Speaking of Frenchie, he was interviewed on Skaife and Crompton's 'Stickshift' radio show on MMM the other week. What a hoot that bloke is! Full of wise cracks and very funny. |
