I have forgotten who was behind Bromley Motorsport the team which ran Moreno and Gary Brabham in F3000 with the Reynard 88D with the "trick" nosecone. Also someone told me where the cars was now and I can't remember ..........

Gary Anderson was the technical director, IIRC money came from a London-based meat/food dealer, cannot remember his name, btw...

Ron Salt was the proprietor and the outfit was based in Lichfield.

I believe either Jim and/or Graham Warren were also involved and the team did eventually morph into GJ Motorsport if i recall?

Yup, in '88 Moreno had Booker Cash and Carry sponsorship but that was only for later in the season.

The team ran Eliseo Salazar and Volker Weidler in a few races in '86 and Cor Euser might have had a few drives in '87 IIRC?

Aha, it is Linfood Cash and Carry.

The sponsors was there during the 1988 Birmingham Superprix, I don't know if it was used during the rest of the season or earlier on from the season.

Yes, you are right it is 'Linford' (Booker sponsored someone, somewhere at the event I think) but I think Fausto was referring to the Ron Salt part of my contribution.....

Did some research and I discovered that both Linfood Cash & Carry and Booker Cash & Carry sponsored Moreno's car at the 1988 BSP.

The Booker decals was on the right hand side of the car and the Linfood name was on the left hand side of the Reynard as well.

But I know what you mean about Ron Salt.

He was the team principal with Graham Warren in 1988 as well.

Oh right, cool!! Nice one BE

I thought my mind was playing tricks on me!!

Bromley ended up running Eric Bernard towards the end of the '88 season as well (not Booker backed!! ) when he decided he'd had enough of making the RT22 Ralt go faster than it wanted!!

Also John Thornburn was the team manager and Chris Smith was the chief engineer (eventually replaced by Andrew Thorby)
