The liver looks good but I hope that isn't the new car. The sidepods are new but don't have nearly as much sculpting as most now, the nose is old and the double-keel setup looks very old fasioned, no more advanced than the current chassis in fact. I'll be amazed, if that is in fact the new chassis, if it's as fast & as much of an improvement as they seem to be hoping.

I think it could be good enough for what they want. It seems to be most improved around the sides and rear, which would give the most impact by being better integrated with the gearbox and engine

That looks like the Honda Concept F1 car from about 2001/2002 ???
I beleive they designed an F1 car around that time before they were actually a team (ie. before they took over BAR) , cuz ive seen that F1 livery somewhere before !! |

The Honda F1 car designed by the late Harvey Postlethwaite ran in plain white when I saw it, with Honda on the rear wing only. It was on the pace, and it looked like they were going to arrive on the scene with a competitive machine.
Harvey sadly passed away, and Honda canned the project. The then concentrated on supplying the engine to the then new BAR team. Rob. |

Just to add, it was 1999 when the project was shelved.
The chassis was built by Dallara. Rob |

From what I have heard the 'new' Super Aguri car will be built around the current monocoque, hence the seemingly identical front end and airbox intake in the photo, with new sidepods and rear end built to fit the new gearbox from Honda.
