Team West-Tec F3 Change to Chang at Nurburgring
Old 10 Aug 2014 22:29
Team West-Tec F3 will welcome "Andy" Wing Chung Chang back to the fold for the final rounds of the 2014 FIA Formula 3 European Championship this coming weekend in Nurburgring as the team starts its build up to the Macau GP in November.

The young Macanese driver, who started 2014 driving for the Corby-based team in the European Formula 3 Open Winter Series before a successful British F3 campaign will replace Hector Hurst whose deal was only ever up until the recent Red Bull Ring races in Austria.

The recent month or so has been hectic for Team West-Tec with race meetings five weekends running, be it in the FIA series or the EuroFormula Open series, with podiums, fastest laps, race leads and disappointments in equal measure!

John Miller, Team West-Tec F3: I am really pleased to welcome Andy back to the team. He will be able to compete at both Nurburgring and Hockenheim, and he has been working hard on a steep learning curve all this year.

He is really pleasant to work with and I am looking forward to see him taming the higher-power of the FIA car for the first time at the famous home of the German Grand Prix.

We are sorry to lose Hector as he was a valuable part of the team. He battled away hard at every opportunity, with the last event at Red Bull Ring being typical of his season where he was able to secure the final point in the Teams Championship despite being dumped in the gravel twice in the final race through little fault of his own!
