Most of all, I don't think Toyota like the idea. Maybe I'm wrong.

I had thought that McNish had signed a guaranteed deal, but lately it no one is talking of it.



Wurz seems to be rehabilitated by Bernie's empire. (given the amout of type devoted to him in the "Officail" F1 Magazine) It makes you wonder depending upon how much you read into these things that Wurz is already dedicated for the McLaren seat next season and Hakkinen is just leaving a lot of Red Herrings. One explanation might be that the wurz is being groomedto take over. It worked for Mika in 1993....

Toyota insists that their driver line up for next year has not been finalised. Whatever that means, it doesn't sound good for McNish - this could be Toyota's test driver next year. There are a number of good F1 drivers available, and McNish is unproven. Surely Zonta and Wurz must be high on somebody's shopping list? Then there's Trulli who is talking about driving for another team.
