if you want a race license you have to go and do your a.r.d.s test at a major ciruit (its not cheep !!and could involve lessons ) you will need that to do circuit racing . it all depend on what you want to do if you wish to do rallycross you can get a restricted speed license and away you go in the clubmans rounds until you get enough signatures from to upgrade your best to ask the motor sports assoc (msa house poole colnebroke slough) or a club that you wish yo get involved . hope thats some help

It all depends up on what you want to do. For a National B race license it costs around £300 - 400. This includes the 'Go Racing'pack from the MSA, a medical and an A.R.Ds test. On the other hand a Clubman costs around £30 (I think). Andrew |

For a National B race license (circuit racing)
step 1 = MSA Race Licence Pack £53 (deamon or msa) step 2 = medical £65 (your gp) step 3 = ARDS test £195 (major circuit) step 4 = liscence application £42 (msa) |

1. Fill in the forms 2. Get your medical 3. get a club stamp. 4. send it off 5. get your licence and go racing.... (nat b) get 6 signatures 6. apply for your nat A 7. get your licence and continue racing (nat a) Get 6 more signatures (keeping in mind you cannot further upgrade your licence after 2 years). 8. apply for your International Licence 9. get your licence and go racing... (INT) Im not sure how its dont in the uk but rallycross, Hillclimbs and Rallysprints are covered by a Speed Catigory Licence and you may only upgrade that part of the licence if signatures are in those events No tests or nothing .... not yet rxie, although there is a theory test here for the National C race licence and I believe that all future rally drivers on the Emerald Isle will have to do a course at RSI before they can obtain a rally licence
