I have one of him at the same sprint, sideways coming out onto the main straight, think I may have given it to Con so maybe he'll post it at some stage!!

Just been going through those pics and realised that between Leo and myself, we have owned most of the Ritmo's that are shown! And I've had a few of the 2cv's.
I raced the 'backward's' Mondello a few times and loved it. Duckhams was, as you guessed Dave, great fun as was the following BOAC. Spun off there too!! Tricky in the wet that one.....

No idea, they must have been visiting Uk cars, maybe someone here can help? Mind you, if you don't recognise them Col, we're probably in trouble.
Still road legal tyres for HRCA regs so Avons or Toyos are probably the way to go. You coming over to take me on??!!

It's one thing to post an on topic link to another site as part of an ongoing discussion, but quite another to actually start a new thread simply to point us to another discussion forum. I wonder how Octane would react to me starting a thread there simply to point to something going on here? Just asking! Sorry, to sound a sour note, and it's a great subject, but can we bear in mind our site rules. Chunty, if you can find the topic here, a good compromise would be a merge.

Yes of course John, it's only just dawned on me what the link was!! Sorry for being a bit slow on the uptake.

I've found a thread (hence the merge) but I don't think it's the one I was thinking of, but iwill continue to look.

Colin ,I think you'll find these pics have been in another thread re "imps" or special saloons. Slab sided one with revolution wheels sticker is most probably Pat Mannion car that Peter Thurston had at one time, The other I think is Alan Humberstone car or perhaps Rob Mason, my money is on the former. One things for sure Clive Brown would know. Regards John Woods
