No objections at all re the Eurosport stream - okay there's no commentary, but combine with live timing, what's being said on the forum, and DSC's text coverage it's all looking pretty good.

The stream works well in VLC - which means you don't have to put up with all the Eurosport garnish cluttering up the screen real estate.

From what I have seen so far, you can hear the interviews during the race (like the one right now with Biaggi)

Have you got a direct link to the stream isynge?

Pretty satisfied with the stream, worth the few quid although commentary wouldn't go amiss. Four pounds will be nothing if this is availible for Le Mans.

Bitrate and resolution? What kind of video format/codec? A screenshot would be even better.

Planning to use it for Le Mans again, and interested to hear how much it has changed from last year.

@jc_nl To get the link for the stream right click on the video box in the browser and open it in your media player of choice. As I say, it works very well in VLC.

I think I'll pass for now and reconsider for the races where RLM coverage is available...maybe if we asked nicely they could work together?

I really don't get the British motorsport watching puiblic sometimes. F1, yes I don't get it but I accept it's quick and glamourous so people are going to watch it.

What I really don't understand is that ITV are showing the entire support bill for the BTCC. So more people want to watch this than would prefer to watch Chevrolets, Astons, Lamborghinis, Ferrari's and Porsches racing rather than these kids bashing Renault Clios up?

VCL?
the stream works fine for me... the only thing is that I cannot resize (yes, to the max but I do not want that) the window because the player is embedded in the site...

For me the normal player was unwatchable but VLC works good. Can resize too so you can fit the live timing on desktop at same time. I'm happy again now!

With me, when I click two times on the window it goes to full size eventhough it's embeded.

Can't wait for Spa. The stream plus Radio Le Mans will be mega.

EDIT: Oops, sorry. Now I realised you want to make the window bigger without it being ful screen. Then I guess you do have to use VLC.

Right click on the video embedded in the Eurosport player
Select properties
Copy the MMS address
Logout of the Eurosport player
Open VLC
Under Media select Open Network
Paste the MMS into the address bar
And you're done

I doubt it. As no TV station has actually covered the race in its entirety its unlikely they will produce a highlights show. Hope I'm mistaken though...
