Castle Combe marshal training

Evening,

Does anyone know the date of the above, I'm keen to attend. Also, if anyone has the Silverstone date, that would be helpful.

Cheers

Faaaaanks!

I've just registered as a Silverstone marshal but intend on marshaling both circuits over the course of the season. Should I attend Combe on 17th or are am I better off doing Silverstone training? Combe is my local

I would say Combe best place to do training as its going to be your local . Not saying Silverstone is bad.
Silverstone works more to the I/O and don't use Post chief grade like every other circuit..
Go to Combe its a very good training day....

Do we have to go over this again?

Silverstone DO use post chiefs and the overall responsibility of the post chief is the same. It's just that there's somebody to whom charge of the incident team is delegated, who continues to report in to the post chief.

Just like every circuit in the UK.

Silverstone training was last 2 weekends, so I would suggest Castle combe
As a new marshal, I really enjoyed both days. Have fun.

And I've very rarely spotted such a thing as an IO at Anglesey, Mallory or Cadwell. I'm pretty sure they all count as circuits. But perhaps when there are only 3 or 4 of us in total on a post IOs are not quite so vital .

But the training should help you to understand who all these IO/PC/XPC etc persons are and what they might do if they're around .

At Anglesey numbers usually prevent an IO being designated at every post, but whenever possible there will be one at the busier posts, especially Post 7!

Mallory has quite a few regular IO's.
