Awesome to see how JDC Miller has grown over the years. They really came to prominence last year and it seems they're poised for bigger things this year with a 2nd car and new financial backing.Happy to see Stallings and Gainsco still supporting the sport. I hope they can be competitive against Penske, Joest, ESM and the Caddies.

Cooper has a good car and a fast co driver. Surely he needs to realize that if he can keep 4 wheels on the track, he has a good shot a victory as a co-driver. Or at least good finishes. The master at this is Christina Nielsen though because she always handed Balzan a car in one piece and usually between 5th-7th place. Very consistent and why she is praised as one of the best genuine silver rated drivers today. Other silvers are hit and miss. Madion Snow could put the car in the top 3, but he could crash it or cut a tire too. |

Being two Colombian drivers, that livery needs some blue.

PR1/AFS is a real interesting entry. They'll be aggressive for sure. Prototype field is looking real stout for both NAEC and full time.

Not yet confirmed, but an interesting prospect nonetheless.

Great article from DSC about the prototype field for Daytona.
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2017/1...ype-field.html I just ask Mr. Goodwin to have an article that will talk about the GT field as well. They need to get equal respect and attention. |

If the belief that there are 21 DPI's and 9 GTLM's for Daytona holds true, then there is room for a GTD field to be as large as 30 cars. Do you think we can get to that number?

Sage Karam is looking for a ride after getting dumped by 3GT. Not sure how many takers there will be — Sage did a lot to harm his reputation last year.

That's a lot of prototypes. Something to look forward to, but will people stay if the lmp2's don't get any wins? I hope they have a good bop for these guys but I'm also skeptical they'll get it right because driver speed will play a big part of this.

MP had a nice article about how the Caddy's got to dominate last season:
http://www.racer.com/more/viewpoints...=&limitstart=1 The short of it is, WTR did better than AXR because they paid Dallara for support. |

As anybody already knew, the main secret of cadillac DPi success is the huge engine. Torque can't be killed by bop, to have a more balanced competition, couldn't be a bad idea to limit 5500cc as max displacement for NA engines. |
