UK Drivers win in the USA

What other National Motorsport classes get the opportunity to race in America in a World Championship???

The weekend saw the World Legends Cars championship at Sears Point. Our own John Higgins won the 'Pro' title with fellow Scot Ross Mickel in second place, Jamie Clarke (Scottish Champion) in third and Oli Poyser in fourth.

The Semi Pro category (essentially for drivers in their first full season) was also won by a UK driver - Derek Pierce with Simon Belcher in second. The Americans retained the Masters (drivers over 40) title but Colin Noble was runner up.

The UK team also won the Transatlantic Challenge.

I think this underlines what a great formula Legends are. Cost effective, great racing and loads of opportunity.

Congratulations to all those who took part. It's good to see that the British Legends championships are producing some of the world's best drivers and competition. Legends racing never fails to entertain the home crowds and I'm sure the crowds abroad weren't disappointed either.
